Awards:
The Drinking & Drugs division of the Society for the Study of Social Problems gives out three awards:
Best Graduate Student Paper Award
The division presents an award for the best graduate student paper on an annual basis. The award is made by a panel of established scholars in recognition of the best student paper reviewed that year (The committee reserves the right to not make an award).

Outstanding Senior Scholar Award
The division bestows the Outstanding Senior Scholar on a biennial basis to an individual who has established a distinguished and sustained record of scholarship on the use or abuse of drugs and alcohol.
